Christie Boex

Meet Christy Boex

Counselor, MA, LMHC

Christy is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Having supported Southeast Alaskan women and their families as a birth doula for seven years, she saw a great need to provide women and families with deep therapeutic support as they navigate the often challenging, yet profound, perinatal experience. Following this calling, Christy pursued her Master’s degree in marriage, couple, and family therapy at Portland State University.

As she joins the Mobile Mama counseling team, Christy brings forth the unique integration of her doula experience and clinical training. This includes the ability to sit with the full spectrum of experience that motherhood often brings, being able to hold space for the tender journey of becoming and being a mother, and meeting mamas where they are, without judgement or shame.

Having relocated from Southeast Alaska, Christy, her husband, their daughters and rescue pup call Bellingham their home and you will often find them hiking, skiing, or spending a day working around the garden.

A Note from Christy:

As humans we all have an intrinsic energy to seek healing, health, and wholeness. My desire is to walk alongside my clients as they navigate what health and wholeness means to them, as unique individuals. I include mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques, parts work (Internal Family Systems), and experiential activities to help mamas step into their motherhood with increased confidence, inner strength, and insight.
